The flowers have so many properties that help our body to feel better.  Let's find out some simple recipes!

Scrub with rose petals and chamomile

Rose petals are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants that protect cells and have anti-inflammatory properties. This scrub, which can be used for daily cleaning, combines rose petals with the relaxing benefits of chamomile flowers, as well as a light oil and oatmeal to perform a light exfoliation.

WHAT IS NEEDED

1 tablespoon of dried rose petals
1 tablespoon of dried chamomile
1 tablespoon of oats
2 tablespoons of honey
1/4 cup of a delicate oil like almond or jojoba

HOW TO DO

Mix the dried flowers and oats in a coffee grinder and grind until a fine mixture is obtained. Add the honey and oil in a container.

HOW TO USE IT

Dip a clean spoon in the jar and place a small amount in the palm of the hand. Apply gently in the face in a circular motion and rinse with warm water.

Rose water tonic

The astringent properties of rose water have been known since ancient times as a skin treatment.

WHAT IS NEEDED

1 glass jar
Rose petals free from insect damage
Distilled water

HOW TO DO

Place the petals in the jar and add the distilled water, close and let it rest for 2 days to 2 weeks. An alternative to distilled water is boiling water, but let it cool before using it (if we poured it immediately on the petals, they would lose some of their fragrance).

HOW TO USE IT

Rose water is an excellent tonic to use after evening cleansing of the face and before moisturizing cream.

Coconut and rose lip balm

The rose petals give this lip balm the magic touch, which is combined with the moisturizing properties of coconut oil, shea butter and sweet almond oil. These are some of the best natural moisturizers, and they are perfect for fighting chapped lips.

It is possible to make this recipe with both dry and fresh rose petals.

WHAT IS NEEDED

1/8 cup of coconut oil
1/4 cup of beeswax
1/8 cup of Shea Butter
1 teaspoon of coconut or vanilla extract
1/4 cup of rose petals (fresh or dried)
1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil
6 resealable plastic jars

HOW TO DO

Measure all the ingredients in a saucepan, melt all over low heat and pour in small
sterilized containers of your choice.
Let it cool completely (couple of hours) and they are ready for use!
